It’s a good day to be a Crimson Tide fan! After a nail-biting game and overtime, the Tide topped the Dawgs for their 17th National Championship! We’re celebrating their win with this limited-edition Championship Tee, but we’ve gotten a lot of questions from you. Here are some frequently asked questions answered!
National Championship Tee FAQs
Isn’t the shirt supposed to say 2018 instead of 2017?
According to the CLC (Collegiate Licensing Company), “the winner of the 2018 CFP National Championship game is the 2017 Football National Champion.” The championship tee commemorates the winner of the 2017 National College Football Season. The game is by date in 2018, but it determines the 2017 National Champion.
Other brands shirts say 2018?
Depending on the type of shirt the designs may feature different years. If the tee is a matchup/gameday tee featuring both schools you’ll see 2018. If the design features the winner it will have 2017 on the design.
How can I guarantee 2017 is correct?
All of our university exclusive tees have to be approved by each school. So you can rest knowing that the University of Alabama has seen this design and has approved this shirt for us to sell.
Is the tee going to be available in short sleeve as well?
This tee is only going to be only available in long sleeve due to seasonality.
Will this tee be included in tomorrow’s sale?
Unfortunately, this tee will be excluded in tomorrow’s end of season sale since it is a new product.
We hope this clears up any confusion when purchasing the 2017 National Championship Tee.
