Ready or not? It’s here! Today is the last Saturday before Christmas, and if you’re like us, this next week will be filled with lots of last minute shopping trips, get-togethers with friends and family, and LOTS of time spent wrapping presents!
We spend so much time and effort trying to find the perfect gifts for our loved ones that often, there’s barely enough time left to get them all wrapped! This year, we want to make all of our gifts look as special as the ones that we’re giving them to! So we’ve come up with a few ideas on how to make your Christmas gifts stand out underneath the Christmas tree!
It seems like craft paper is all the rage this year, and we’ve definitely jumped on this bandwagon! The simple brown paper can be dressed up or down to make any gift a showstopper! We found some solid black wrapping paper that we loved, too, so we used both that and the craft paper to dress up our presents! On some of the packages, we hand-lettered Christmas carols or season’s greetings to make the gifts look more personal! You could doodle on your boxes like we did, or even write people’s name’s right onto the gifts instead of using gift tags!
Our most favorite way to spruce up our gifts this year is to add little trinkets and bows to the packages! We tied on a little bottle-brush Christmas tree, a baby grapevine wreath, and a reindeer cookie cutter along with our ribbons, bows, and twine! We also added little sprigs of greenery and holly berries to add a little bit of Christmas color! No matter what you add, it’s fun to think of who your package is going to to make it extra special and personal! If you’re gifting to someone who loves to bake, you could take our idea and add a little Christmas cookie cutter! Our own Team LJCO member Tarah told us that last year she printed off pictures of all of her family members and used those instead of gift tags to put under the tree!
