A few weeks ago, Lauren James was a sponsor of The Blog Societies Annual Conference, TBSCon, held at the W Lakeshore in Chicago, IL. We love working with bloggers and influencers, so attending this year’s TBSCon was an easy decision to make. We were so excited to attend this year’s TBSCon to meet some new bloggers to partner with to help spread the word about Lauren James.
Kicking it off
The conference kicked off with a happy hour at Sugar Factory, and we ended the night with an ultimate sugar high. This event was perfect to get to know the bloggers in a casual environment and talk freely about the fashion and blogging world.
And the sweetest booth goes to…
The first official day of the conference, team LJ got started bright and early to prep and primp the Lauren James booth for the networking suite. We wanted our booth to scream LJ, and what’s more LJ than a pink donut wall? Our fantastic warehouse team shipped this custom built, ginormous pink donut wall all the way to Chicago for this conference, and dressed it up with Stan’s Donuts to have the sweetest booth! One sure fire way to get people (especially influencers) excited about LJ is with a good Instagram wall. It was total Instagram goals! Below are a few pictures of some of the blogger babes we met!
The Modern Savvy
Style In A Small Town
Once the networking suite started, we got to introduce many of the bloggers to the Lauren James brand by showing them samples and giving them sneak peeks of upcoming collections. Each attendee was gifted an exclusive swag bag which included our brand new Timeless Planner, a notebook, a tumbler and of course a sticker and koozie.
The Inside Scoop
The next day Team LJ headed to the conference to get an inside scoop on blogging from top-tier bloggers like Shop Dandy, A Southern Drawl, and Rachel Martino. Following the classes, there was a short brand panel, where bloggers were able to ask Lauren James and other brands questions. We LOVE working with bloggers and influencers, so we were excited to answer their questions! Some of the main topics we touched on were…
- How Instagram plays a role in working with bloggers
- Instagram: Numbers vs. Engagement and Content
- How to pitch to brands as a blogger
- Paid Collaborations vs Gifting
- What does LJ love most about working with bloggers?
Following the panel, we headed out to an outdoor patio for a picnic overlooking the Navy Pier and said our final goodbyes to our new blogger friends!
We had an amazing time in Chicago and were so thankful to be a part of this year’s TBSCON. Thank you to Cathy and Jess for hosting us and making everything perfect! Cheers to next year!
