Today is the day of our highly anticipated velvet holiday collection launch! To kick off the collection, we wanted to show you multiple ways to style one piece. Here to do that today is Taylor from Reese’s Hardwear so without further ado…
Y’all! Today is happy everything: hump day, November, the official start of the holiday season and Lauren James collection launch day! I don’t know about you guys but I love the holiday season. Halloween and pumpkins aren’t really my thing but fancy details and velvet pieces are and lucky for this girl, the new Holiday collection from Lauren James is full of both! I’m really excited to introduce you to the scalloped velvet skirt. It’s absolutely stunning and will be an incredibly versatile addition to your wardrobe. It’s so versatile, I’m styling it 3 different ways to show you what I’m saying. I’ll be sharing two looks here on the LJ Styled Sweet blog and one over on my blog, Reese’s Hardwear.
Wear it to Work
As I mentioned, this skirt is extremely versatile, but so are a lot of LJ pieces. I love getting the most out of everything, so for this wear to work look, I paired the velvet scallop skirt with the Dakota Plaid Dress. Both the skirt and the dress are warmer styles and great for the cooler months. I know my office stays freezing, so I’m extra excited about looking cute and staying warm all day.
The weekends for me are all about comfort and style. Let’s be honest: we are all reaching for fuzzy pullovers and leggings aren’t we?! When I actually need to go out in public, I love the easy to throw on pieces that are still fashionable. A basic sweater and fancy kicks are just the right blend of simple and sparkle to take that “off duty” look up a notch. Remember those fancy details I first mentioned? They are all over the LJ brand and the scalloped hem on this skirt gives it a little something extra, don’t you think? So do I, but since it is the holiday season and all, I paired it with my glitter kicks for fun.
Last but not least is the almighty party look. I know we have to work and we live for the weekends, but tbh, when I think of the holiday season I immediately jump to “what am I going wear to everything?” If you’re like me then come join me on Reese’s Hardwear where I’m continuing the party in today’s post.
